VividWall
Copyright Notices
Our approach
VividWall respects the rights of artists, photographers and other creators. Wallpapers are added by the site owner or submitted by visitors who confirm they have the right to share them, and we show the author, source and license where they are known. We cannot independently verify every submission, so if you find your work on the site without your permission, we want to hear about it.
How to send a copyright notice
Send a notice through the copyright notice form or email info@vividwall.net. To let us act quickly, include:
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed, with a link to the original if one exists.
- The web address (URL) of each VividWall page that shows the material, so that we can find it.
- Your name, email address and, if you wish, other contact details.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is sufficient).
Notices that leave out these details may take longer to process or may not be actionable.
What happens next
We review notices promptly. When a notice identifies an apparent infringement, we remove the wallpaper or disable access while it is reviewed. Where a community submitter can be identified, we contact them about the decision. Correction requests can be used to update an author or source; adding credit alone does not resolve missing permission. Notices and related correspondence may be shared with the submitter, so only include personal details you are comfortable sharing.
Counter-notices
If you submitted a wallpaper that was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or the result of misidentification, you can send a counter-notice through the contact page. It should identify the removed material and where it appeared, include a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and include your name, contact details and signature. We may restore material where the circumstances justify it.
Repeat infringement
We may stop accepting submissions from anyone who repeatedly submits infringing material.
Other concerns
To report incorrect credit, a missing author name, or a wrong license on a wallpaper page, use the contact page and include the wallpaper's address. This is our copyright reporting process. It does not claim that VividWall has registered a DMCA agent or qualifies for a particular legal safe harbor.
